Ecuadorian Chemical Industry may divide in the following sectors:
-Chemical inorganic production:
39% industrial gases, 15% sulphates, 10% ammonium phosphates, 7% calcium carbonates, 6% hypochlorite, 4% sodium hydroxide, 4% chlorine, 4% oleum, 17%
others.
-Chemical organic production:
57% Urea, 18% phthalates, 10% acetic acid esters, 15% others.
-Chemical Industrial products:
45% paints, coatings and resins, 11% surfactants & cleaning agents, 6% ethylic alcohol, 5% solvents and thinners, 5% urea resins, 4% construction additives, 3% agents to textile & leather treatment, 2% polyethylene, 18% others
National Association
APROQUE has 50 member chemical companies, which represents the 90% of paints, coatings and resins and the 85% of chemical synthesis industries such as ethanol, formaldehyde, chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite, Aluminium sulfate, Industrial gases, sulfuric acid, etc .
Our main motivation is to promote the sustainable development of national chemical industry by direct technical assessment, education and training in HSE aspects.
