PharmaChemical Ireland (PCI) was established within the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC) in 1994 to represent the needs of the pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing industries in Ireland. PCI is committed to providing an environment which is conducive to the success and further growth of the pharmachem industry in Ireland, thereby enabling it to maintain international competitiveness. This is achieved through lobbying and representation with government, the authorities and relevant regulators including the Environmental Protection Agency, the Health and Safety Authority and the Irish Medicines Board (IMB).  PCI also represents the industry in the European Commission both via IBEC Europe and via its membership of Cefic.
