How we're structured
ICCA is governed by a Board of Directors representing member associations and a Steering Committee responsible for oversight of several working level groups. ICCA is a virtual organisation, coordinating the work of individuals from member associations and their member companies. The Board of Directors is led by a President, the private sector CEO who chairs the association currently serving as the ICCA Secretariat. The Secretariat function, which rotates among the major associations, is led by a Council Secretary, who chairs the Steering Committee, and is the head of the association currently serving as Secretariat.

ICCA Board of Directors
The Board of Directors, chaired by the ICCA President, is the central governing body of ICCA with direct authority for the Council’s priorities, policies, programs and budgets.
Meeting at least once a year, the Board is made up of a maximum of 25 CEOs from companies belonging to ICCA associations, representative of the membership and reflecting a regional balance.
Board seats are generally allocated roughly in line with a region’s share of global chemical production. Allocation of Board seats is reviewed at least every three years or with the entry of a new member.
