Chemical industry in Morocco:
The Moroccan chemical industries occupy an important place with 1.602 establishments (21% of the industrial plants). These industries contributed to a total value of 19% in the industrial production and to 19% of the GDP, using 14% of the total staff complement of labour, with the drainage of 17% of the investments and 22% of exports.

Federation of Chemistry and Para chemistry (F.C.P.)
Created in 1993, the Federation of Chemistry and Para chemistry (F.C.P.) is a professional association dotted with the legal entity and financial autonomy.
In addition to the adherent companies, the federation gathers five professional associations:
AMIPEC  : Moroccan association of Industries of Paintings, Inks, and Adhesives
CropLife Maroc : Moroccan association of the Traders, Importers and Formulators of Agrochemical Products
A.M.P.   : Moroccan association of Plastics
A.M.I.P.  : Moroccan association of the Drug industries
A.M.G.I.M.  : Moroccan association of Industrial and Medical Gases
• 26 members of the F.C.P. are engaged in the Responsible Care initiative and are signed up for the Responsible Care Charter.
• 17 members of the F.C.P. appear in the edition 2005 of the guide repertory of the active citizen companies for sustainable development. This document, the first of in Morocco, is the result of a partnership between the Department of the Environment and the industrialists.
